The History of Parish in Stráž nad Nežárkou between 1900 - 1950

The Bachelor thesis deals with the histori of the parisch in Stráž nad Nežárkou in the period 1900-1950. The main topic is the beginnings of the clerical administration in Stráž nad Nežárkou, which date back to the middle of the 14th century and further developed over the centuries until 1900. It describes the beginnings of education, which is related to the Bishop of Budějovice J. V. Jirsík. From the 20th century there is information from both world pre-war, war and interwar periods. It describes the life of the owner of the local manor, opera singer Ema Destinnová. The work deals with the history of transfers and exits from the Roman Catholic Church in the period between 1919-1941 and other information from the parish until 1950. The theoretical part took place mainly by collecting data from archives and practical by processing them and supplementing them with information from the used literature and Internet sources.

Office of the vicar at the turn of the century (17901821)

The diploma thesis deals with a statistical study of two books of protocols in the office of the vicar episcopal in Pelhřimov. They both cover the period from 1750 to 1831. It is focused on the time when Vincenc Josef Rubricius from Nová Cerekev was in the office of the vicar episcopal. In 1790 he became a vicar episcopal and stayed in his office for three decades until the time of his death in 1821. Thanks to his diligence and precision in maintaining the official agenda and the long-term work in the office of the vicar episopal, it was possible to perceive the studied time period as a coherent unit. Such a notation in the book of protocols was an evidence about the official acts. The statistical data about the number of the notations are described in the diploma thesis in 32 chapters, each of them for a particular year. It studies the number in the particular months, weeks as well as days. Due to this, it monitors the number of the official acts, e. g. with the consistory in České Budějovice, the other parish offices belonging to the vicariate, the Regional Authority in Tábor or the deanery in Pelhřimov. Even the visitations in particular parish offices were noted down into the books of protocols. Owing to these notations, it was possible to describe into details how the visitations were carried out during a particular year.

Legal Situation in the Diocese of Litoměřice from 1989 to 2010

The first part of the doctoral thesis approaches its topic from the historical point of view: firstly, it summarises the history of the Diocese of Litoměřice from the erection of the Chapter of Canons in 1057; secondly, it briefly describes the history of the Diocese from its foundation in 1655 to 1989; thirdly, the events from 1989 to 2010 are discussed in detail, i.e. the episcopacy of Msgr. Josef Koukl after 15 years of vacant see in the context of the reconstruction of the Diocese after the fall of the communist regime, the situation in the Diocese during the episcopacy of Bishop Pavel Posád, the following period when the Diocese was administered by Dominik Duka and finally the time after Bishop Jan Baxant took canonical possession. The second part of the doctoral thesis is divided into six chapters and approaches the chosen period thematically according to the branches of the Canon Law. It tackles the governance of the Diocese, personnel and territorial-administrative matters, the exercise of the legislative, administrative and judicial power within the establishment and application of the Canon Law from 1990 to 2010. The issue of valuation of church property

In my thesis I tried to look into the issue of state property settlement with churches. This issue stirs public opinion in our society since the mid-nineties. The first chapter endeavours to discover the fundamental principles of the performance of the church in the past. Covering from property acquisition, through its management to the semantic role of property in general. Last but not least, it tries to describe the economic situation of the largest church in Czech Republic - Roman Catholic. The second part seeks to describe the events of nationalization of church property in February 1948, under the applicable legislation from that period. It also gives some insight into other forms of expropriation. The third chapter explore insight into the legislative process of state property settlement with churches and discusses the pros and cons of the problem in general. The fourth and fifth chapter deals with the theoretical question of valuation, valuation methods or valuation regulations. The final section summarizes the control mechanisms, which will protect the recovered property from depreciation in value.

Cathedral chapter in České budějovice in times of bishop Jan Valerián Jirsík

This thesis deals with functioning and structure of cathedral chapter in years 1775-1883. The essential part of this thesis contains the historical context and process of the establishment of the cathedral chapter in České Budějovice by the cathedral temple of St. Nicholas, but also the establishment of diocese in České Budějovice. In the second part we found a summary of events and activities of people in the chapter and also the short introduction of first four bishops of diocese in České Budějovice.
